This year’s theme is Real Conversations, Real Partnerships. Clear and respectful communication is at the core of every effective partnership. Whether setting expectations, defining roles, or resolving conflicts, it is crucial that we speak the same language of mutual respect and collaboration. This is no different in research. Successful patient engagement depends on team members learning from and with each other to forge mutual trust.

That’s why this year’s annual meeting is focused on the power of honest, open conversations. As we gather in Vancouver, let us reflect on the role of dialogue in creating a collaborative environment for all team members. By enabling real conversations – respectful exchanges of stories, perspectives, hopes, and expectations – we will maximize the partnerships across our network and achieve our shared goal of better kidney health for all Canadians.

Patient partners
Can-SOLVE CKD will cover travel and accommodation costs for Patient Partners. After your registration, a separate form requesting additional information will be sent to you to book your stay.

Researchers and other partners
Project leads and any additional team members/project staff are encouraged to attend by using the travel budget allocated to their specific projects(s). We have a limited budget for travel support; however, we have negotiated a discount rate for the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel at $239 per night if you book through this link. If you have any questions or wish to apply to Can-SOLVE CKD for travel support, please feel free to contact Heather Harris (hharris@cansolveckd.ca).
