Can-SOLVE CKD is evolving—and we want you to help lead the way into our next phase. As a recognized national leader in patient-oriented kidney health research and Indigenous health research, our commitment to equity, collaboration, innovation, and implementation has driven meaningful change, and now we’re inviting dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our new Phase 3 Planning Committee.
About the Committee
The Phase 3 Planning Committee will play a pivotal role in defining our future by helping to develop a vision, workplan, and funding proposals that will propel our network into Phase 3. Your expertise will contribute to:
- Enhancing National Leadership: Reinforcing our robust network of partners from across Canada and identifying new potential partners to ensure we remain at the forefront of kidney health research.
- Securing a Sustainable Future: Collaborating to secure sustainable funding for the next phase of Can-SOLVE CKD and forge innovative partnerships that will drive impactful, lasting change.
- Informing Knowledge Mobilization Initiatives: Designing and implementing strategies to showcase our network successes and innovations, with a lens on the future to affect positive change through the implementation of research findings.
Who should join?
We welcome individuals from across the Can-SOLVE CKD community to join this committee, including:
- Patient partners
- Researchers (early career, mid-career, principal investigators)
- Nephrologists
- Allied health professionals
- Policy/decision-makers
We are also seeking individuals with skills and experience in the following areas:
- Grant writing and research proposal development
- Funder and partner relations
- Project planning and logistics

If you’re ready to help shape the future of kidney health research, please indicate your interest by March 17, 2025, via our online form below. Participation in this committee will involve a time commitment of approx. 2-4 hours per month during the development phase, with the potential of a few additional hours during the active grant development phase. That time will be spent participating in meetings online and reviewing materials as needed.
