Nominations are now open for the 2026 Can-SOLVE CKD Awards

The Barbara Ann LeGay Award for Patient-Oriented Research and the Howard Vincent Reconciliation Award recognize individuals across the Can-SOLVE CKD Network who are making meaningful contributions to patient-oriented research and Indigenous health.

Do you know a patient partner who demonstrates strong leadership and is working to address gaps in healthcare? Do you know a non-Indigenous network member who is actively contributing to advancing Indigenous health and Reconciliation?

🔗 Barbara Ann LeGay Award for Patient-Oriented Research 

Presented to a patient partner who demonstrates leadership and a strong commitment to advancing patient-oriented research by strengthening relationships between patients, researchers, and healthcare providers, and addressing gaps in health care.

🔗 Howard Vincent Reconciliation Award

Honours a non-Indigenous individual who demonstrates leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to furthering Reconciliation with Indigenous peoples within the Can-SOLVE CKD Network, and who inspires meaningful action toward advancing Indigenous health.

Deadline: April 9, 2026

Recipients will be recognized at the 2026 Can-SOLVE CKD Annual Meeting in Québec City.
