Our biweekly update keeps you informed on our network projects and initiatives! Below are a few highlights. Make sure to check out the latest issue below.

We’re gearing up for Kidney Health Month

March is a busy month at Can-SOLVE CKD as we observe Kidney Health Month in Canada and World Kidney Day on March 13. Although our focus as a network is on transforming kidney health year round, March is an opportunity to raise public awareness about the importance of our kidneys!

We will be releasing a special newsletter for World Kidney Day focused on the 2025 theme, “Are Your Kidneys OK? Detect early, protect kidney health.” The campaign highlights the importance of knowing the risk factors for kidney disease and the need for regular testing for high-risk populations.

Indigenizing kidney research webinar open for registration

Join us in the UBC Learning Circle on March 11 as Can-SOLVE CKD Network Indigenous Liaison Manager Catherine Turner and Indigenous Initiatives Manager Jocelyn Jones present “Indigenizing Kidney Research Through Relationality and Kindness: A Can-SOLVE CKD Network Approach.”

Meet CNTN’s new research coordinator

We are excited to profile researcher Omo Enilama, who has been with the Can-SOLVE CKD Network since May 2024 and recently stepped into the role of research coordinator for the Canadian Nephrology Trials Network (CNTN). Get to know more about Omo and her commitment to improving patient engagement, fostering collaboration, and making research more accessible and inclusive.
