National Ribbon Skirt Day: Celebrating Indigenous culture and identity
Recognized on January 4, National Ribbon Skirt Day honours the significance of ribbon skirts within Indigenous culture. It is a powerful symbol representing the identity, traditions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples. Can-SOLVE CKD Network encourages network members to learn more about the significance of the day.

Can-SOLVE CKD Network patient partners Arlene Desjarlais and Cathy Woods, who are co-chairs of the Indigenous Peoples’ Engagement and Research Council (IPERC), presented at the First Nations Health and Social Secretariat of Manitoba (FNHSSM) First Nations Data Sovereignty and Research Conference: Our Data, Our Truths, Our Voice in Winnipeg on January 22.
