Our monthly update keeps you informed on our network projects and initiatives! Below are a few highlights. Make sure to check out the latest issue below.

February is Black History Month

Across the Can-SOLVE CKD Network, we have a shared responsibility and commitment to advancing equitable, patient-oriented research of the highest quality through our core values of inclusion, cultural competency, and collaboration.

We strive to diversify kidney research at Can-SOLVE CKD by welcoming two EDI Champions, Glenda Roberts and Dr. Sofia Ahmed, as part of our authentic commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in research.

Storytelling for Impact Training Module

All patients and their family members have important stories that capture the emotions and real-life experiences of what is like to live with kidney disease and receive care. Sharing these stories is a helpful strategy for fostering better appreciation and understanding of what it is like to live with kidney disease. This module has been designed to help patient partners write their stories around two moments of care that they wish to share, along with a call to action for improving kidney care.

World Kidney Day 2023

World Kidney Day is right around the corner! Let’s raise awareness around the world about the importance of our kidneys!

On March 9, celebrate the 2023 #WorldKidneyDay campaign under the theme of #kidneyhealthforall. Can-SOLVE CKD will be releasing a special newsletter supporting the event and helping to raise awareness of the 2023 theme “Preparing for the unexpected, supporting the vulnerable.”
