In spring 2025, Can-SOLVE CKD launched a publication series in The Canadian Journal of Kidney Health and Disease (CJKHD) featuring the network’s Phase 2 projects.

Beginning with the introductory paper “The Problems We Can-SOLVE”, this series showcases how nine research teams from across Canada are implementing and evaluating research innovations developed in Can-SOLVE CKD Phase 1 to improve the health of people living with CKD, while embedding equity, Indigenous engagement, patient partnership, and implementation science principles throughout their work.

Our latest publication highlights the success of the Kidney Check program, a community-led, culturally safe kidney health screening program focused on rural and remote First Nations communities in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, and other provinces: “Integrated, Community-Led, Culturally Safe Implementation of a Chronic Kidney Disease Detection Program for Indigenous Communities of Canada: The Kidney Check Program Report“.
